Application for the registration of a trademark

Filling out the Trademark application form

The applicant's name, surname, occupation, nationality and place of residence. If the applicant is a company, then its name, address, and type must be mentioned, along with the purpose of the trademark.

Identification of the products and services for which the mark is required.

The trademark's logo that is to be registered, constituted of four copies and attached in the required space in the form.

Writing the name of the entity in which the business is located or the exploitation project that uses the trademark or the party that will use it to distinguish its goods or products.

Writing the addresses of the selected places in the State of Qatar in which the documents related to the registration of the trademarks are sent.

Signature of the form by the trademark's owner or agent.

An official extract of the trademark owner's commercial register

Official certified authorization (in case the application was submitted by an agent).

If the application for registration of the trademark includes terms or phrases written in a foreign language, the applicant must submit a certified translation into Arabic.

If the applicant for registration of the trademark wishes to enjoy the right of priority in the registration of the trademark based on a previously filed application in a member state of a multilateral international agreement to which the State of Qatar is a member, then a copy of the previous application stating the date and number of the application, along with the country in which it was submitted must be stated. The Qatari Embassy must approve it within six months from the date of the previous application on which it is based.
